Just download the latest from the web, you're probably better off anyway...

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

I hear it runs in Vista ok, but be warned.... APPLE hasnt ACTUALLY modified the software for VISTA yet...

Try using a cross over ethernet cable to connect PC to PC without a hub. They usually look the same as normal ethernet CAT5 cables except some of the wires are switched at either end.

Download it from Apple. use the KB article referenced in this thread to get it to work.

if you have both computers on your home network already, and your old computer is running Windows XP, use Easy Transfer.

Start -> Program Files -> Accessories... and then I think inside System Tools is Easy Transfer (my Vista box is at work).

The wizard will walk you through it - just answer the questions on screen and it will pull your stuff over. It really is pretty slick.

If you don't have your machines on a network and you don't want to mess with ethernet, you can get the Belkin Easy Transfer USB Cable which is literally plug and play.
