Hey all,

I am getting my new X on Thursday (yippee!) and I wanted to scotch-guard the seats before I put my waterproof seat covers on-I'll wait 'till the seats are dry of course. I've read that some people have problems with the SE S/C seats bleeding, so I was nervous about doing this (I've never put scotch-guard on car seats before). Any tips/advice/experience on application would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Symantha

I had my seats scotch-ed a month ago and I didn't have any bleeding issues before or after. Wait, let me look at the back of my Khaki's--nope, no Black smears. laugh

I had Neoprenes in my old '01 but I'm sticking with the charcoal & blue dots in the '02.

I've used Scotchgard from a can on my 02 Xterra and no problems with color bleed. I decided later to have the undercoating, paint seal, rust protection, and Scotchgard professionally done. The seats are still fine, but they seem darker, which doesn't bother me.
