Took my 02 SE Cloud White with 400 miles on it through the car was. Now the "Xterra" stickers on the rook rack are falling off, looks bad shocked . Think Nissan will fix and correct this. smile

Mine did the same thing. Dealership fixed it for free (twice) and it happened again and again. My theory is that different conditions at the factory (humid day... dry day... installer with greasy hands...) cause them to adhere better on some Xs than others.

In the end, I just blasted them off and my rack's been without 'em ever since.

One of the first things I did after buying my X was remove the stickers off of the roofrack. I think it looks much better without them...plus I already know what kind of vehicle it is...why do I need 3" letters proclaiming it to the world?

That is kinda like putting "Powered by Nissan" on the widshield...basically it is a no-brainer.

Yea, I was thinking of just taking off the rest of it.

Oh I will flame myself for the "speeling", sorry about missing wash as was and roof was rook. I have a wireless keyboard with weak battieres. Plus I can't type or spell, so get use to it from me.

I love the Xterra. I worked for Nissan in a past life and have always wanted one from when I saw designs for it. Now I have one. Great family replacement for my old Jeep CJ5. smile

I powerwashed a few little bits off on one side - like the little spots inside the letter "A" for example. Don't know if I'll take the rest of it off, or replace it. Who knows - it's not like I need it... Like Griffin says... *I* know what it is, and I could care less if anyone else does. wink

I'm glad I read this. I had no idea the stickers might come off. I never really never put any thought to it.

I'm going to wash my '02 for the first time today, and I'm glad I got the heads up. I would have been pretty disappointed otherwise.

Thanks.

Does it make a difference if the carwash is touchless, i.e. the stickers are not scrubbed..? Weathering will take its toll regardless, especially up here in Canada.

My X constantly gets a washing especially since its black and gets dirty quite quickly. Haven't had a problem yet. Still have my originals..

I decided to blast mine off the other day, but they had stayed on just fine for over a year till I got the pressure washer right on them.
I don't even notice that they're gone...
one reason I got them off cause teh left side one had always been crooked, got tired of it

Wow. I was sitting here not even worried about it until I started reading all these posts. So I got up and checked. Mine are still attached! I've been doing a combination touchless and soft cloth washes since I got it in September.
