The rear side molding of my X got snagged and bent. I tried to glue it back down with emblem epoxy but no go, it bent back up again. So, I ripped off the trim and am going to order a new one.

I'm not sure what to use to safely remove the old adhesive strips that are left behind prior to mounting the new trim. Any suggestions as to what to use to remove the old adhesive without damaging the paint finish?

Thanks.

Use a blow dryer to heat up the adhesive and spray WD-40 and use a plastic putty knife to remove residue.

Love the "BIG DENT" sticker!
DeSolve-It works great on the adhesive, 3-m also makes an adhesive remover that is not hard on the paint.

OK, I'll ask smile Doesn't "Xterra Recovery Vehicle" derive from a slam on Xterras? Displayed on another type vehicle it insinuates that Xterras need a lot of recovery???

Shouldn't an Xterra have like... " Explorer Recovery Vehicle" or someting like that?

This was talked about some time back and I agree Roger with your thinking. It can mean both, you're a recovery vehicle or a vehicle that needs recovering.

yeah i, agree and was kinda confused at first since the meaning can go either way, i cut the xterra part of the decal out and put the decal on my X like that. i gave the XTERRA part to my son and he put it on the hood of his r/c xterra.
