Hey,
I have a 2001 with the squares up front and was wondering if anyone had, or could you, convert to the 2002 look with the rounds up front. Anyone done that, comments pictures, anyone.
I also found a great article on painting the plastic trim, anyone got any comments on that one.
Thanks
still feeling good after timing belt/w,pump change.

no one that I'm aware of has done so... if I recall, the overall shape of the front end is different... even the hood... it sounds to me like it isn't worth doing... Besides... Square X kicks ass. as for painting the plastic trim, most professional paint shops should be able to do it... I know a few people here have painted their trim... use the search function and you should be able to find a few older threads on it.

I like my 03 round head much much more though, my friend has the square head and it is just not as sexy.

I painted all my plastic parts. No problems at all, took a couple of hours.
Search in appearance and you should find at least a couple topics on it.

nothing looks more aggressive than the squares. that also seems like it could be a shload of work to convert it.

nissandoms47 did it...01 to 02. Not hard, about 1/2 day. Only hard part was fabbing some mounts for the round headlight brackets. You could replace the entire radiator support piece with one off th 02 and that would cure the fabbed part. Other than that pretty straight forward. Switch out the fenders, hood, lights, bumper, grille.

yeah, its a pain. you would have to change both fenders, hood, headlights, bumpers ect. I also like the rounded headlight look, but unless you get a great deal from a junkyard, i think its just too expensive. But if ya have the money i guess go for it.
