So this weekend I felt the need to do a deep clean on my X's interior. I pulled all the interior, stripped the seats from the frames and foam and sprayed everything down with a hose and shampoo. I washed the seat covers in the washer and let them hang dry. Fabric looks good as new. I had some rust on the frames so I grinded the rust off, cleaned the frame and sprayed the frame with rustolium (sp?), then I sprayed the frames with undercoating to give them that extra seal. Next I am going to redeodorize the fabric before re-installing. Truck will smell and look oh so good. laugh

I didnt clean the ceiling. I dont know if water will damage the material. I have a carpet shampoo'er with several attachments. I would be willing to try it if it would not damage anything.

STOP!!! Don't...nothing worse than a sagging headliner! Thin material and marginal glue on all factory headliners. frown

I rented a commercial steam cleaner and cleaned everything including the headliner with great results and no problems. [Spit]

For Headliners, any type of Dry cleaning is best. Wetting down your Headliner at any time will show problems sooner or later.
