Hey folks. I went mudding bout month ago and since have washed it. Today i was going though a deep clean and opened my hood and noticed mud all over. Any idea how to clean under the hood?

I always use a hose on a cold engine. Let try, fire her up.

DO NOT pressure wash an engine. You're asking for problems.

I use a paint safe foaming degreaser and the garden hose. Getting the mud off the rubber bits is a PITA, so I mostly ignore that stuff.

Pffffft, I've done this lots of time with no ill effects. My engine has been caked in all kinds of shit but always looks brand new afterwards.

I pressure washed an engine once before and knocked all the idiot lights on, etc.... There are some things that don't need water forced up into them.

being splashed is one thing, being struck by a 2500 psi spray is another.

But then again I am accident prone smile

I don't use a pressure washer but I do use a power sprayer on my hose. The key is to disconenct the battery and let it dry overnight. Can't do that with a pressure washer unless you have your own.

I don't cover anything anymore either. Just don't spray water directly on the filter, and try not to spray too much water on the distributor cap.

Never had so much trouble as a check engine light.

Do a couple of deep water river crossings, that'll get the mud out.
