I was doing the ol flush & fill on my X and took out the drainage plug on my radiator and then went and ate lunch. When I came back out I pulled the drain plugs off of the block and there was hardly any drainage from them. Will all of the coolant drain out through the radiator? , i was parkred in my driveway and it slopes down toward the engine. Also what kind of antifreeze do most of you use? i live in FL. so I just used the prestone premixed. Also is it normal for the block drainage plugs to be tight at only half way in. Thats how they were when i took them off to from the factory. [Wave]

How did you get the block bolts out? I tried about a month ago and had not luck.

Thanks,
Ron

I sprayed them down good with blaster waited about half an hour and then used an impact rachet with an extention on it. It was a royal pain in the ass. Next time they will stay in. [Argue]

might want to try adding some water wetter to your radiator...You can read more about it in the link below...

http://www.redlineoil.com/redlineoil/wwti.htm

You can also buy it at most Pep Boys stores... wink

Presumably you drained the same amount it took to fill it back up again.
