Hey guys, my Fronty has an Xterra ARB on it, and I am doing a 3" body lift on it, so I need to modify it to raise it up. I do use it to winch so it has to be strong still. Please post any links you have. I would like to see what all has been done in the past. The main thing I have to accomplish is strength obviously.

Thanks.

Chris I had mine welded... do not plan on removing it unless I wreck it. Has been through a lot and works fine. Don't forget with a BL the frame blocks the Skid... had to modify that too

Do you know if he lifted his truck 2 or 3 inches? I like what he did, and if I can do something similar that would be cool. Angling the frame rails so the existing angle on the ARB can be used would be real nice. I wonder if he has winched off of it.

A 2" Body lift was installed on his X. He had OK4wd cut and weld the frame, and redrill the ARB to lift it into place.
And No, he doesnt have a winch, But it looks beefy enough to winch with.

Hell, my ARB is at stock height, I drilled (4) 1/2"X 3 1/2" grade 8 zinc plated bolts through my frame because only 2 bolts lined up on my ARB. I've winched several times with No noticable ARB movement at all.

Hmm...

The normal ARB has those giant bolts in the tie down hooks. I am not sure I would trust this to winch with. It also doesn't look like this would work with a 3" lift. Dang it. I really like the way that is done.
