Just to let everyone know, I went to the muffler shop wanting to put the 40 series muffler on. The mechanic told me that Flowmaster lost their patent on the 40 series. A company called FLOWSOUND makes the EXACT thing but a LOT cheaper. I got that installed, sounds great too. Just something to consider.

well that's cool, I was willing to spend the money on a gibson, but this one sounds pretty good to me

My muffler dude did not say that they "lost" the patent which I would have told him he is full of BS but he did say that they had a knock off of one but I spent the extra $20 and got an actual flowmaster delta 40 series.

Tehy did not "lose" the patent, it just ran out. This happened back in the early 2000's.

I never heard of FlowSound, but Holly makes the FlowTech series mufflers which are very similar to the FlowMasters.
