Had a lovely bounder pound on my oil pan. I now have an oil leak.

Any one replaced the oil pan on a '02 Xterra by themselves?

Complications? Things to be aware of?

Dealer wants to charge $385 for labor!

Lookin for some info!

Thanks

I dented mine awhile back on an xcursion but I was lucky enough that it didn't do anything more than damage the copper crushwasher.

To get to your question, a labor fee that high doesn't surprise me. If you look under there, there really isn't an easy way to disassemble the oil pan from the rest of the engine. They may have to lift the engine out to do that.

Blah. I'd just JB Weld the sucker unless you've tweaked the pan so it doesn't seal against the block or someething.
