I did this mod a few months back, and some X owners been asking about, so I decided to post some pics of the install.

plus I have yet to see a post on this.

This is the TJM snorkel already installed, which is easy, just follow directions or use the search forum.

I cut the space between the two holes to allow easier access for the 2.5" hose from the Volant CAI and the TJM snorkel.

I then taped a peice of cardboard on the outlet of the Volant CAI so I could put fiberglass over it.

After the fiberglass. This was my first time using the stuff. For the instructions on how to lay it, I just read the back of the fiberglass kit box that I bought at a local automotive store.

This is the same cut-out tool that I used for the hole on the fender, to allow the TJM snorkel in.

After i used it.

After I painted the fiberglass portion black, I applied some Marine silcone around the edges. Just to make 100% sure that it was completley sealed. I also used some on the inside, around the edges of the cardboard and the Volant CAI. If you do this, make sure you use ALOT of silcone. Its better to use alot than not enough.

I used the same silcone around the 2.5" hose (previously mentioned).

After I painted the silcone.

This is the inside shot of the CAI, you can see where I put the silcone around the edges. I didn't paint this because obviously you wouldn't be seeing it.

Thats it. All I did after this, was installed the Volant CAI system, hooked up the 2.5" hose to the TJM snorkel, tighten down the hose clamp and was on my way.
