When I want to clean the MAF sensor on my 2000 X do i have to completely take apart the intake in that area like my Chilton's says or can I just remove the 2 screws which appear to hold it in there?

Thanks,
J

Just the two screws and disconnect the wire harness. The sensor will lift right out of the intake, no need to do anymore disassembly.

Yes, just the 2 screws. If you want to be extra careful and not mess with the very fragile sensor wire, you can get a can of CRC MAF cleaner spray that works very well without scrubbing.

Cool, that's what i thought about the 2 screws. I plan on grabbing a can of cleaner and cleaning it up since I haven't done it...EVER...and I have 150K on the truck-LOL

I figure it's about time.

Thanks,
Jamison
