Has anyone put out a book that diagrams the various kinds of wiring for off-highway lighting such as: driving lights, fog lights, back-up lights, switch types, switch panels, etc.?

I've seen some genral car electrical system books, but I'm mainly interested in all the options specifically related to lighting.

Depends on what you're looking for...

Most "off the shelf" lighting kits come with wiring diagrams for the install. The various forms of the Xterra service manual also feature wiring diagrams.

In principal, it's fairly simple. A switch controls a relay (basically a remote, higher amperage switch) which turns on the light(s).
