So when did it get deep? I just see a wave, water looks like it was no deeper than just above the hubs. Looks fun anyway.

Not to be a wise ass or anything but do you guys make a habit of going through water or any place else you are just hoping is OK? Maybe you have been there before and it looked the same? Water can be very deceiving and sometimes dangerous. Not to menttion just a PIA if you do get stuck.

Not to mention all the frogs, tadpoles and algae colonies he destroyed. Sean, do you have no shame?

that was the first and last time i'll be doing that. i won't be making any habit of that or the subsequent cleaning that had to be done.

a friend of mine went through it first, so i knew it could be done. but i didn't see the front or side, only the rear of a Wrangler. i had no idea it was that deep.

as for the frogs and other woodland wildlife- i was wondering what it was that was all over my fan blades... ( [Finger] back to you, ryan.)

i was kidding about the frog comment. no creatures were knowingly harmed, nor did i find any remnants in my engine compartment, on suspension components, or on wheels/tires/brakes...

smile And my X never attracts bugs or flying insects while driving at 80mph so I have no shame either. [Finger]

The last time I whent wheeling with some Jeeps, one stuck himself in a waterhole like that and the spinning wheels threw cold muddy water in on themselves. "Brrrrrr, that's c-c-c-coooold!!" he exclaimed.

Looks like a neat trail. where is it?

it's in Richmond, VA. i think the total length of the trails there may be about a mile. and it will soon be an apartment complex (or a CVS/RiteAid/Walgreen's), just like every other piece of open land here in Richmond.

Was there any damage?

Here's a thought, and I've thought about this while looking at a "no maintenance road" north of Brainerd just like this (hmm how deep do you think that is?), it didn't seem that deep, but what if you had got stuck at the deepest part, windows up, it looks like you would have had a hell of a time opening the doors if the battery would have fried. Anyone done this? Is there a way to open the back hatch from inside? I love the power package but without the manual handles windows don't open when the battery is dead.

frown Just a paranoid delusion. frown

no- i wasn't there long enough. i motored through with no problem. now, had i gotten stuck, the water level was above the door/rocker panel junction, and there was a nice bit of cleaning to do at that seal.
