DUDE! That is XOC pic of the year! Nice action! Not trying to make fun of you, but I've seen a few pics of trucks in the same sort of position (especially in the mags). I'm wondering, were you trying to run the trail with the wheels centered in the v notch and one side slipped down?

Yep thats exactly what I was trying to do. I have a small dent in the rear quarter panel and the rocker guard under the passenger door from the straps hooked to the frame trying to get me centered again and the front quarterpanel has a dent in it that will take more than dentless repair to fix. It could have been alot worse. I did get her out and was able to drive her home.

That picture made me cringe big time when I saw it. That kind of damage is such a week ruiner, believe me I know... A few years ago I was offroading in a construction site (nother thing NOT to do while offroading) at this spot where the was a huge mud pit. I'd been there just the day before but this time there was huge tractor tread tracks leading into the pit. It seemed that the construction workers had taken a few large boulders and dropped them in the pit, which were conveniently resting right under the water and out of sight. I suppose they were going for a desired effect when people like myself drove through the pit. I hade no idea until after the incident though. so I get speed, blast through the first half of the pit and then "Wham"! I hit one of the boulders straight on. With the speed I had, I went straight over the boulder, and the remainder of the way out of the pit. I eneded up tearing a new asshole on my undercairage, crushing the stock skidplate, busting off my spare tire, and almost completely ripping off my rear bumper. I won't even think about heading into another construction site again. But what assholes to do such a thing. You just don't mess with another man's vehicle.

You wonder what kind of person would put a boulder in a water pit? I think the same kind of person who would tear ass around on someone elses property without permission. You were not thinking about the damage that you might do to their construction site in the same way that they were not thinking about the damage that might be caused by that rock. Like you said. Lesson learned and now you don't trespass in construction sites.

Glad everyone was okay. Looked like a scary thing to do. Good thing it wasn't like that Land Rover that's in the general forum. That would have been really bad for you Dan! Again, glad to see that you guys are okay and the truck is fixable.
