is it just me or does that big "cenote" look a little like the sink hole those spelunkers jump into in that Xterra "Anchor" add?

mmm...maybe but both were in desert areas and I dont see to many holes in the ground that big in the US so any hole in the ground of that size is going to look similar....

This natural well its called "El Pozo del Gavilán", (sparrowhawk´s well) at Galeana, Nuevo León State. Its about 270 ft deep and a diameter of 400 ft. Its belived that this well its underground conected withe the lake you saw in the pics above.

Some people use to go down (rappel), to explore the water at the bottom of it.
