I love visiting Hawaii (esp. Kauai). I can't image how awesome it would be to live there.

Nice pics.

its half of a 55 gallon drum.. We used it as a fire barrel since we aren't allowed to have open fires..

Doesn't look as tippy as it was from that angle. Oh well, still funny.

I can't wait to get out there, looks like you guys have some great wheeling out there!

Are there a lot of Yellow X's on Oahu?

Well, Hawaii is not like the mainland where you have infinite places to go, but there are a couple of good spots - this being one of them. When the inter-island ferry gets going this summer, we'll be able to do trips to other islands, so that should make things more fun.

Lots of Xs here, but not many solar yellow. You'll stand out a bit.

Yeah, I was reading about that ferry from another thread - I would imagine it would be pretty kick-ass to be able to get our rigs to the other islands fairly easily.

How is the state when it comes to off-roading? Do you guys follow the whole Tread Lightly thing?

Very cool, I'm glad I got my X when I did!

hmm.. We do follow tread lightly, there isn't much knowledge of it. Most of what there is, is just respecting other people and the little bit of land we have to share. There aren't that many places to wheel that are fully legal. This is one of the three spots that there are, and from the way things look this is going to become a regular spot for us. Speaking of which when do you think you will be heading out this way.

Yeah, I would imagine that given the limited land it does make it tough. I like the whole tread-lightly thing because it helps to get rid of that "off-roaders destroy the land" crap that tends to follow any truck owners around...

I'll be out there around mid-to-late April. I'm sure the first few weeks will be hectic for both me and the Wife - but I hope to get out and meet you guys and do some wheeling.
