I installed a set of 265/75R16 BFG AT T/A ko tires on stock wheels. Did a little trimming, turned up the torsion bars about 1 inch, then took it into my local dealer for it's first service and asked for a front wheel alignment (not for free.) All logic (and its drivability) would tell me that it would be needed. When picking it they claimed that it test drove fine and they put it on the machine and it was within specs. Is this geometrically possible?

Changing tires will never require an alignment, since alignment is based on the wheel relationship to the chassis.

Raising the front may or may not require it, mine didn't.
