I've owned my x for 3+ years now and never noticed the "thing" on the top inside of the drivers side wheel well that sticks out. What the hell is it? Also, on the passenger side, it appears I've ripped some plastic off on the gas tank fill spout. There's a chunk of plastic missing and what looks like a bracket patially sticking out. What did I tear up? :rolleyes:

The thing in the driver's side rear wheel well is one of the seat belt mounts.

Well my tires have chewed it up pretty good.

You can remove the fuel filler shroud without any worries. Mine fell off in April of 2001, and the only difference is that the tire no longer rubs on it.
