Looking at the xterraparts.com and their color pictures for the installation of the 3" lift kit. Is the mounting plate for the brake line on the UCA the same plate for the bumpstop? If it is I got my UCA on backwards.

Did you get your shocks installed? I don't think you can get them backwards and still mount the shocks.

I actually had them mounted both ways and shocks fit fine, hence this is why I'm confused. I mounted one where the brake line mounting plate hit the bump stop and the shocks fit but the boot was hitting it. I then changed it and currently have it where the brake line mounting plate is on the opposite side of the bump stop. The alignment shop has no idea how to align it and now I'm stuck. I wish calmini had better instructions

This is the passenger side on my truck and shows the ABS mounts to the same plate the bumpstop should strike.

Yea... I had it on right the first time... Looks like I'll be having more fun with the pickle fork. THanks for the pic

The instructions are fine, and explain everything needed to install the kit.

The upper arms only fit one way, and it is obvious which way that is if you look at them, and the stock arms for 10 seconds.

If the boot hit it, then the shock body would hit it to under compression, damaging the shock and arm.

Just unbolt the ball-joint and swap arms.

Do as Ian suggested. I swapped Calmini arms in to replace SLR arms and it was a lot easier to just unbolt the balljoints. I put a jack under the arm to keep it from dropping when the ball joint is unbolted.
