Hey guys, i've been searching for stuff, but I can't seem to find the assurances that I've wanted. With that said, here goes:

Alright, I want to run bigger tires on my X, prolly 31's, and lift it somewhat. I'm not sure what type of lift I want to do. The two lifts I was deciding between would be the AAL and Torsion Bar crank, or the AC 3" Body Lift. I also was planning on adding an ARB and a winch. If anyone has any advice that would be great. I'm also looking for some type of before and after picture of the 3" lift with some sort of height reference (i.e. a person, stock xterra next to lifted) to see how big it would make it. Thanks a lot.

You can clear 31in. tires with no lift , trimming and probably without cranking the t-bars on the stock wheels without a lift. If you crank the t-bars AND do the AAL you are going to look stinkbuggy (ass end high). Is that what you are shooting for?

If you want to to be level just turn the t-bars and if you are adding a bumper like an ARB get the stiffer aftermarket shocks.

You're talking about the body lift right? Well , you don't need it to run the tire size you want. It won't give you any additional wheel travel or articulation and you'll have that body lift gap in between your frame and body. What else is there to know?

if i do the AAL and torsion bar crank, how much will the ass end stick up? Is it really noticeable?

Well the ass sticks up now , right? So you are only going to get a maximum of 1-1.5 inches from the T bar crank and then add the leaf pack in back that is going to add approximately 3 inches in the back give or take an inch with settling and depending on how much weight you are carrying in back.

That's should give you an idea.

also, the added height of the tires will give the truck a little bit of lift too, won't it? thanks for all your help.
