I am sorry for another tire thread. I have my 16 in wheels now and am trying to decide between these two tires. I like the MTRs better, but the price is better on the Revos. The only thing stopping me from buying the MTRs is the question of tread wear. Can anyone give me some insight to the treadwear of the MTRs? I will be doing on and offroad driving. Thanks for any advice you can give me.

I have a friend with MTRs on his Pathfinder and they appear to be wearing pretty well. I don't recall any reports that they wear particularly fast either.

What kind of mileage could I expect out of the MTR versus the Revo? I will pay the extra money for the MTR if it will last a decent amount of time. I guess 40-50,000 is a decent amount of time. Thanks for all of the info Brent. I will buy you a beer if I ever run into you....maybe in GWNF? [Wave]

I'd say they'll be good for 40K, perhaps a bit more.

i love my mtr's, they are wearing fine have 13k on them and have had them rotated 4 times just keep rotating. also if you do go with them and you get vibrations at 70mph take them back and have them rebalanced they don't vibrate much at all but like any tire if it isn't balanced correctly you will know, so don't get sucked into you might need an alignment issue. drive the truck at 70mph before you go to the shop just to see how the ones you have on feel first.

Rickster, I'm telling you man. Check oot the Firestone Destination MT's. I've got 265/75R16's. 1-5/8" t-bar adjust on front and CALMINI shackles to bring up the rear by 2". 1"x3" of the wheel flare trimmed up front and good to go. I've been through/on/over/etc.- dirt, rocks, mud, slickrock, and even wet asphalt.(it DOES rain in AZ.!) They're quiet in the cab and Firestones warranty checks oot too. I'm recommending them to you highly. laugh

I've done some research on these Firestone Destinations and am going to get a set also in the 16's. TireRack rates them highly. Instead of shackles I want to use the AAL's and torsion bar crank. [Smoking]
