Which way are the slots supose to point on slotted rotors?

it all depends on the cooling design of the rotor...some face left some face right.

and yes we've been over this 1000 times. slotted rotors do enhance braking performance.

i read somewhere that there is less metal to absorb heat..thats a bs line.

cooling depends on heat absorption AND dissapation.

When I put slotted rotors on my Eclipse, I was told to install them so the slots looked like this:

Each Rotor should have come in a box that says right or left on it, or at least mine did. I believe that the above diagram is correct that's how they are installed on my girlfriends eclipse also.

Here's a picture of my PowerStop rotors installed. IIRC, they came in boxes marked left and right. Whatever the case, they seem to work just dandy this way and they've been there for about 60K miles. smile

perhaps there is a model number printed on the box and maybe in that model number is a "R" or "L" to designate which side it is for?
