2004 xterra clicking noise when brakes are pressed

Anonymous Unregistered	This may be normal, but i guess im just hearing it now for the first time. When the ignition is turned to the on position, or when the xterra has been started, when i press on the brake pedal, i hear a "click" noise that seems to be coming from the shifting area (6cyl automatic). The vehicle seems to be running fine and brakes work and shifts fine. Anything to worry about or has it been doing it all along? Thanks

Thanks Just the brake depression signaling to the auto trans that the brake is on and okay to shift out of park.
