I have a 2nd genration off road and want black wheels real bad, i haven't been able to: find many in 16x7, or that are mildly not "pug-fugly". I was even thinking of powercoating the stock ones black, because i'm sure they would fit and its not a bad looking wheel. Has anybody found and all black wheels for a 2nd gen or powercoated an xtera's stock wheels. Or i am not being patient, are wheels eventually going to come out.

its difficult to find aftermarket wheels...look around a number of threads about that.

most steel wheels have a kinda 'bell' shape to then, which makes them interfere with the brake calipers in the front. several people have powdercoated the stock wheels with good results

I couldn't find the pic, but I know someone has either American Racing or Cragers on there 2nd Gen. I think they ground down their calipers or customized it someway.

they more than likely got spacers for run them! i know a guy who mod some spacers to run 22' on his X
