I went to BJ's the other weekend to get a price on BFG AT's for my Xterra. I deceided on 265/70/R16 because I do very little off-roading, and I want to minimize any trimming to the mud flaps. I didn't see the size I was looking for (only LT265/75/R16), so I went over to the tire service desk to see if they could order a set of 265/70/R16's for me. Now this is where the story gets weird, the sales person told me since the Xterra has "P" rated tires and not "LT", he wouldn't order the tires for me or install a LT tire on a vehicle equipped with "P" rated tires because the truck could roll-over more easy. Is this statement true, or was he just feeding me a line?
