For anyone who's installed a system in their X, where did you run the power wire (i'll be using 4ga) through the firewall? I'd like to avoid drilling if possible. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just drill through. Its not so bad if you have an automatic. There is a blankout plate where the clutch would normally go. smile

I found a grommet on the passenger side, about a foot down, fits a 6-guage wire perfectly. Just poke a coathanger through the rubber lining on the cabin side and fish away.

Ditto, no need to drill. Open your hood and look on passenger side for rubber grommet. Using an xacto type knife cut a small X in the center. Bend a coat hanger out straight (cut the ends of with a pair of dykes to make smooth). Tape the end of amp power cable to one end of coat hanger and feed through (gently). Lay on your back on passenger side floor, reach up under dash and feel around for wire and hanger.

Yeah what he said.... Some people have used the grommet on the drivers side but it is not as close to the battery. The drivers side one is better put to use when you have to run switches in to the cockpit for lights.
