I got Pioneer DEH-7400MP head unit installed and it works, but I have 2 concerns.

1. In n2's post entitled "Complete wire list (includes radio)," he states that the blue/red wire is the dimmer. While this seems to be true, what is the pink/black wire for? I haven't been able to figure it out. The reason I ask is that my head unit has a wire marked "Illumination", instructions say to connect it to lighting switch terminal. I connected it to the blue/red wire, but I am wondering if I have made a mistake... Any ideas?

2. I couldn't figure out how to use the cage that came with the Pioneer head unit, so I installed it using the factory bracket. Though its very secure, I don't like the way it sits in the middle of the hole. Can anyone give me some brief instructions on how they installed the cage in their X?

Thanks in Advance,

CB.
