I am playing around with mounting my KC's here. I drilled out the two holes that help attach the bumper fascia. Except for reducing the approach angle slightly, do you see any problems with this location? They are not wired up yet so removal will be easy if I choose a new location.

They decrease the approach angle and you probably wouldn't know it until you smashed one. The plastic "skidplate" on my truck is really scuffed up from sliding on stuff, and it's been ripped off once. I wouldn't mount any thing that close to it or that low. It may not matter if you don't take it offroad.

I agree with Aero Steve, too close to the ground.

I've put mine over the bumper.

Why don't you enlarge the stock fog knock-outs and put them there?

Do you wheel your rig? If so, then really bad idea. If you don't wheel it, then I say, for road, it would look pretty cool as long as you can angle them enough to get a good line of light.
