Does anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram for the alarm system and lighting systems? I am wanting to install lights recessed into the plastic in front of the roof basket. Has anyone done this before? I am also having problems with my alarm system not engaging and the doors automatically unlocking whenever they want. I tend to think it is a short because it does it more after hitting a bump. Any ideas on this? Please email diagrams to flintdc@hotmail.com if you can.

Thanks

I'll go with the basics,
1) have you changed your battery to the remote lately ? It should be just about due..
1a) maybe dirt within the remote is giving it a sensitive trigger/ blocking signal..
2) How many keys do yopu have on your ring ?
Hit a bump, something hits the remote, unlocks doors ?

The battery in the remote has been changed twice already and is pretty new. The remote is clean inside and out and there are only a couple of other keys on the ring that don't come in contact with the buttons. One other thing, it will unlock the doors after the engine has been shut off. I can walk to the car, leaving my keys in the office and it is still unlocking the doors on its own. I had to take the fuse for the emergency blinkers out so they didn't flash as I drive down the road. I think that it is a short and would like to know how to bypass the remote stuff so that i can lock the car until i can get it to the dealer.

Thanks

Alarm problem found. The unlock button on the remote is stuck down. Guess I will have to buy another remote since I lost the other one.

For God's sake, go Ebay. Don't let the dealer rape you on the remote! [Geek]
