I have a stock 2002 Xterra which I've had for 2 years. I bought a key fob to go with the extra set of keys and received instructions for programming it as part of the package. I have a factory service manual which has the proceedure, however, during the prior programming I elected to take the Xterra out of (C)mode (horn chirp) and placed it in (S) mode according to the service manual. The service manual makes no mention of the proceedure to change it back, and I have lost the instructions I used to change it originally. I would like one of you smart guys to post or email the instructions to reprogram the Xterra to chirp the horn when I lock the doors. Thanks

Hold the lock and unlock buttons down together for at least 3 seconds.

Horn should honk telling you that you have engaged (C) mode.

Pretty sure as well, that you could have found this by using the search function... wink

Thanks so much. So simple. I searched all the forum for the last 2 years and couldn't find it.
