well i am studying for my technician class test at the moment, but have a few questions for you guys about radios and antennas on mounting on the Xterra. Once i pass the test, should be here shortly, i am going to pick up a dual band Icom or Kenwood 2m/440mhz mobile. So i am doing some mental preplanning of location and theories.

1) I need some help in figuring out how and where to run the coax for the antenna. I still haven't run my CB coax like i like it either and am getting tremendous RF noise because of it (atleast I think that is where it is coming from). I'd like some way to run both of them, cleanly, in tha same fashion or similar into the cabin and avoid as much interference as possible. Any hints or thoughts?

2) should i have seperate antennas for 2m and 44mhz?

3) where is the best location you have found on the X for HAM antenna placement?

4) which make and model radio and antenna do you run for your rig?

any help would be greatly appreciated.
