I have some Hella 500's that use H3 55 watt bulbs. I can see out there that there are lots of other H3 bulbs with much higher output, like 85 watts and a 110 watt "5000K" one by PIAA called the "H3 Super Plasma". Is there anything I need to think about before buying and using one of these bulbs, or are they plug-and-play? Will I melt my 500's and blow fuses? My real curiousity is an amber 85 watt one like what you see HERE.

I did a search and came up with this, I just wanted to see if anybody had any new thoughs on the topic.

Secondly, why are these PIAA lights so much more expensive ($25 vs. $8) than THESE. Is it simply a matter of getting what you paid for, or are you paying for the name?
