I bought the billet grille for the 2000 Xterra's off of ebay and it was a breeze to install! It really only takes about 10 minutes and just zip ties right to the factory grille. It looks great. IMO, it looks better than the mesh stuff. It olny fits directly on the grille, not on any lower parts.

Quite honestly, I wouldn't mind a set of these for the top grille myself. As long as they were black - as they're aluminum in the description? I'd paint them semi-gloss black, or that dark grey of the plastic.

Just to keep that much more debris from potentially hitting/clogging the radiator, hiding the stuff behind it from outside view - all the while, not really blocking too much air.

I'm sure they keep debris out of the radiator, but you could easily pick some mesh up at Home Depot for about $5 and make your own.

I dig the carbon fiber trim!

Yeah, I've had the carbon fiber on my old Xterra (00' 4x2 XE Alpine Green). It wasn't that bad looking.

I kinda like those (the ones in the last link), but they'd have to be painted black.
