Anonymous Unregistered	These straps came with my 2000 Xterra and I have no idea what they are for. Any ideas?

Anonymous Unregistered	Nothing is stamped on the hooks or straps. There are four hooks on each strap, so they may be canoe straps or may be used to hold items in the stock basket. Just thought someone here might have seen them somewhere and could identify them.

Anonymous Unregistered	I even thought they might be Yakima items, since the X came with a roof bike rack, a rear bike rack, a rear snowboard rack and a trunk bike rack, all Yakima but nothing on their site either.

ChrisNYC Member Registered: 18/08/00 Posts: 368 Loc: Brooklyn, New Yawk	I've got those very hooks and straps on my Yakima hitch mout bike carrier. The hooks are for the wheels to keep the handle bars from turning. They don't seem to use them anymore with the current Yak designs.
