I'm an accessory fiend. When I get promotions at work, I celebrate by buying my guards for my Xterra. When I get money for doing some sort of art project for someone, I buy window deflectors for my Xterra. When I had $250 in my checking account left one week, did I save it? NOPE! I bought custom-molded weather-resistant mats for my Xterra.

I am ridiculed. My friends think I should be saving money. Or at least buying necessities. Clothes, toothpaste, toilet paper, food even! (The nerve!)

Help! Is there an AA I can join? (Accessories Anonymous...haha...I'm sooo clever!)

Am I alone or are there others like me?!?!?

1.We admitted we were powerless over Xterra's - that our check book (and xterra modifications)had become unmanageable.

2.Came to believe that more time off-road could restore us to sanity.

3.Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of Our Xterras as we understood it.

4.Made a searching and fearless Modification inventory of Xterras.

5.Admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our desired mods.

6.Were entirely ready to remove all these defects of stock design

7.Humbly asked Nissan to remove the Xterra's shortcomings.

8.Made a list of all Mods we had to make, and became willing to make them all.

9.Made direct modifications to such parts wherever possible, except when to do so would injure ourselves or others

10.Continued to take inventory and when anything was wrong promptly modified it

11.Sought through off-roading and modification to improve our conscious contact with our Xterra, praying only for knowledge of its will to be modified and the power to carry that out.

12.Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to Xterraholics and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

i'm in a tough situation. i'm also an 'X'aholic...

it seems like a day can't go buy that i don't think about buying something to better my X.

my fiancee thinks i should be put away, into some sort of institution, without conjugal visits...

actually...i'm getting married in October, and if i don't stop putting things into my X (except lotsa gas) we're gonna have NO money to get an apartmnetn...the only thing i'm looking forward to is moving closer to my store, so i can save money on gas, and buy more things..
