Ok....so I ran up to CK today with a friend from work (Jeep Scrambler, 7"lift, locked, sweet ride really), and it was a good time as the backroad always is a fun trip.
As far as the condition of the trail:
When you passs the "Road not Maintained"sign, and make the turn at the painted "CK" rock, you realize someone has graded one of DBAX's favorite spots into oblivion.

The above behavior is no longer an option at the begining of the trail, as the wash has been plowed under..
For the next approx 5 miles, you could take my wife's TSX on the graded bybass of obstacles.
There are still the "optional" obstacles to challenge you, but the bypass is a very passable dirt road now.
Once you travel the graded area, the trail begins to resemble its former self, and quickly becomes the rugged backroad to CK we all love.
So, while a chunk of the trail has been stolen from us, the overall experience is jsut aas pleasant as always.
