Checking into 235/75R15 Firestone Destination M/T's for the Baja Rears. For the fronts I'm thinking about trying some Snow Studable tires. 205/65R15 Winterforce M+S, I just don't know about the sidewalls. I'll be ordering a spare of each in case they change the design or stop selling them.

hey adam from what i was told by firestone is that they are discontinuing the mud terrains , i dont know if they have a new design but thats what they told me

Damn, that'll be a shame, they seem so popular and I'm confident they'll give me enough traction to keep up with these 4x4 guys.

Most likely they are just coming out with a new design. That's why I want to get a spare, it would look a little funny with two different rear tires.

From Jason this is correct... The Mud Terrains are being discontinued. BUT... The Destination Mud Terrains are not. Just the standard one.

Oh... And he said to expect a price increas from Firestone to come the new year across all tire lines.

Bridgestone Dueller MTs have been disco'd already. I tried to snatch up the last set of 33's at the sale, but they'd been out for weeks before.. Got the Desti MTs (33), and there is an increase slated for '08 across the board.

WOW never thought everyone would get the same tires. I have been verry happy with my MT'S. My daily drivers are freshly powder coated OEM Offroad Rimz with Bridgestone Dualer A/T'S with Certs ... Verry happy with them .

Just ordered my tires from Tirerack. Seems they have a good deal and the ship to installer will be more convenient for me. I'll just have to throw the wheels in the truck on the way to work one day, hopefully within the next couple of weeks.

I ordered an extra tire of each, front and back, just in case they don't offer the same tire a year or two from now. I like to have matching rubber. Just sucks to have to store them, especially since I may never need them.

I pulled the rear drums and started the cleaning process before the rain closed me down yesterday. Looks like it will dry up a bit today and I can hopefully get the engine pulled as well as the transaxle for repair/overhaul and cleaning. It'll be a while before it is road worthy, but the project has begun!
