Hi all,

The seats on my 01 X were very soft and offered no support. I looked into seat covers and replacement seats but didn't like the options or prices.

I took the X to Tucson Seatcover on Speedway and they repaired the original molded foam and then added another 1 inch of high density foam to the seats. They are terrific now! I paid $125 for each of the front buckets to redo the bottoms and backs using the original cloth upholstery - which is in great condition.

The problem with the seats is that the metal frame chews through the foam so that the cushioning is lost. They were able to repair the rip in the foam with adhesive and added a protective layer of material over the area to keep it from ripping again.

I highly recommend this as a cheap and very effective option. It's even cheaper than average quality seat covers which don't help much.

Tucson Seatcover is at 5520 E. Speedway 745-1141
