I'm not gonna make it this year, unfortunately. I've got too many other things I need to use vacation time for this year.

But I have too many pojects going too... Maybe later in the year or something. But I don't think I'll make it before summer.

I'm not going until I have a capable rig. Don't see a point in going there if i can't do the trails for what they are known for.

Ummm...there are only several that you wouldn't be able to do. There are many, many more your truck could do then there are trails it couldn't.

Of course a truck is only as good & confident as the driver. :p

Thanks Tim for the vote of confidence in me :p
but yes, I'd like to do those 2 trails. anyways, it's not like I'm able to go this year, maybe in a few.

Only thing stopping me is funding mostly... I'd take the Fronty out there no problems. I got to go out there last October, but not run any trails and it looks awsome... So I'm sure I'll get my but out there sometime this year at least for a long weekend.

Bring some Pathy parts smile ... They are supposed to fit, I haven't checked the gearing yet though.

If your going to go
install a CB, it's a requirement.
get recovery points.
optional to requirement - Tires, sliders, armor
U get that, u should be fine with the az run.

So I have no clue where or what AZ Run 8 is laugh ... But a CB is always a plus, not a requierment on any trail I'm aware of. You have baise recovery points already (as bad as they may be), you saw me towing that other Gen1 at crown king by the factory tow points. And in you're case, only thing that would be a plus for you is tires. The Gen1 has pretty good armor to start out with, I never upgraded my 03. Side rails, well same there too, the Gen1s body sits much higher than the Gen2, so a plus, but not needed, i'll drag my rails with a 3" lift before you'll hit your rockers almost any day. Its just a comfort thing to have on the Gen1 (and you can get alot bolder/dumber with them). A Gen1 with tires is an out of the box ready to crawl rig. Chuck on some shackels and your set for a couple years worth of saving and deciding what you want your rig to become. Notice most of our Gen1s are nearly stock of extreamly modified, not much in between like the Gen2s.

confused

AZ RUN is a SWANKy production, and most of the rigs attending are SAS'd, geared, and locked.. They (SWANKy), require the use of a cb, it has nothing to do with the trails you're on.. A great bunch to wheel with, but be aware that most in the herd are experienced offroaders with built rigs before you decide to join them on a trail.
