April will be out for awhile with the new baby (Congrats!) so Steve or myself will be fulfilling her duties until she can return.

April Xcursion: Table Mesa trail going East to Seven Springs area and campout.
Meeting spot & time: Saturday April 26th. Noon at the Carefree Highway exit. Get off there and go to the gas station immediately East of the exit. We'll camp out and then meet the Sunday crew in the AM.

FR 532 Cleanup:
Spooky will be taking over the reigns as Michael Duarte will be out of town.
Meeting spot & time: Sunday April 27th. 9am at the Ranger station. (better directions to come)

Xcursion Committee: (thanks Thomas, Lee and Mark!)
Lee briefed us on the Xcursion committee meeting.
They tried to make the Xcursion more pleasing to the majority of members so each quarter there will be 1 Destination trip, 1 Camping trip and 1 4-wheeling trip. That way it will be more 2wd friendly as well as getting a break from 4-wheeling EVERY time. (xtra 4wheeling side trips always welcome!)

With the info from the Xcursion committee, the attendee's voted on the dates for the May, June and July Xcursion dates:

May 17-18: Destination trip to historic Bisbee, Az. Leaving Saturday we can either camp or get hotel. Possibly some light 4 wheeling, but the nature of the trip is to see an area that most of the group wants to. Co-Xcursion with West Texas Xterra Club.

June 21-22: Camping trip to the Mogollan Rim.
Leave Saturday, drive the rim trail- camp fire-good times (fire restrictions permitting)

July 13: Hassayampa Trail/Box Canyon (not the one out by Florence Junction)
Sunday 4 wheeling trip. More details to come.

(There was good talk about a future Destination Xcursion taking us all to Disneyland!)

So am I sleepy or did the post say you are meeting up with the wtxc in bisbee. Would be great to see some of you guys again. What is there in that area anyway I am not familiar. Is this gonna be a sightseeing trip or is there some wheeling planned.

I think the majority of it is sightseeing/ camping/ fellowship with other clubs.
There are a few trails that I'm checking into for people interested.

Well see todrick there is a problem. Chilli is Tex-Mex and I just have the Mex part. I dunno how to make chilli. All I remember saying about your chilli is that it wasn't hot enough. Just throw an habanero in there and you will be all good.

by the way, hooking up with wtxc isn't quite official; yet. i sent the dates to frank. we are hoping that you west texans (or easterners as far as we are concerned) have a chance to come & see us about half-way.
