How does everyone feel about me attempting to recruit people down here in Tucson for AZXC? Is that blasphemous?

Maybe you should become a member first? And then.... not only could you work on new people but you could get the illusive number 41 back in too. Xavier and I talked a couple years ago about a Tucson chapter of the AZXC. It's a drive either way to make the meetings and X'cursions, no doubt, but with enough interest there we could have two chapters that hook up occasionally. That could work. Getting to that point would take a lot of commitment from one or two individuals to become very involved in the club now and then X'pand it in Tucson. Just a thought.

See, I figure if I get enough people then the entire club can meet here quarterly or something. That would be fair, IMHO. Now, I have not attended two meetings, one of which is an Xcursion, but with your good graces, I would still like to start recruiting since I am currently motivated. I promise to attend an off-road event with $25.00 some day, and hope for a simple "yes" vote from each of you in accordance with http://www.azxterraclub.com/bylaws.htm Also, I can host the site for free. So when it comes up for renewal or whatever, just let me know. *bribe* Was it Brian that handled that? I forget. Anyway, I am going to get people here. I have my methods. I think my Cheerios had somethin' funny in 'em...

The more the merrier- Although, if they're 2WD Xterra's, don't bother. For someone reason the 2WD members never want to do anything. Even when we make specific outings FOR them! Speaking of dues... I finally got the list from April, so alot of members will get an email in the next few days!

Just an update... Out of the four Xterras I marked for recruitment, NOT ONE was 4WD... I didn't bother with them. Grrr. What's the point of a 2wd X?

I see there is some obvious confusion as to what "down south" means in reference to the area of desert located south of the Gila River. All of what used to be refered to as Southern Arizona is now correctly known as the Republic of Baja Arizona. This situation came about as a result of our need as citizens to seperate ourselves from the oppressive Imperial Kingdom of Phoenix. So... anytime you folks living north of the Gila find it necessary to drive south be certain you obtain the necessary import permits and visas required to legally and safely enter Baja Arizona. Permits are easily obtained in person at the main tourist offices in Casa Grande or Tucson. Permits can also be obtained at the branch offices in Superior, Mammoth, Oracle, or Florence. Entry fees for the importation of 4x4 Xterra vehicles are quite nominal. However, fees for Full Size Hummers ,Land Rovers, and H2's are quite high. Loyal subjects or residents from the Kingdom of Phoenix are welcome to visit the freedom loving Republic of Baja Arizona. However, most new applications for citizenship in the Republic of Baja Arizona are denied because illigal aliens escaping from Phoenix are quickly deported back to their homes in Maricopa county.

Maybe if he slipped the word "fart" or "poop" in there, I would get it!
