So I just moved to AZ from GA about 2 months ago.. I LOVE it here! And, I finally got rid of the bane-of-my-vehicular-ownership (2000 Celica GT) and traded it in on my Granite '03 X 2wd... so now I guess my question is, where can I go to get it dirty? smile

Leave it parked outside during the next storm. It'll look like you went rompin'!

Hah! The one we had last night just left it kinda spotty looking. Besides, I'd like to come by my mud a bit more honestly!

Welcome to AZ and the Xterra.

You've been lurking for almost two years before buying? Haven't you learned anything from this message board? laugh

BTW, nice homepage.

Actually, I lurked for a while when I still lived in GA, and my ex-gf had an Xterra (that I urged her to buy under the assumption we were getting married and we'd trade vehicles, whoops).. after a lot of that went to shit and I effectively fell off the Earth for a few months, I quit reading. But, now that I HAVE mine, I'm back! cool

Heh - mine did the opposite. I hadn't washed it since Hassayampa and now it's much cleaner after a good two hours of rain. laugh

Oh, and welcome to TremorX. smile

Why, I muddied up my X just this morning at about 4;30 am on the way into work. I live in a rural area and theres plenty of dirt, and sometimes MUD! You almost gotta get in it before the sun dries it up , and watch out for the nice people in the fields getting ready for the morning harvest. wink

Of course as a responsible citizen, and driver, I'd like to make it perfectly clear that no immigrant farm workers were harmed in the muddying of my truck. [Too much XOC]

Sweet smile

So, are there any good trails near Phoenix to play on? I'm pretty much a beginner, at least in this environment (this is nothing like southeast Georgia) and would like some easy 'practice,' and to cure that itch to play in the dirt. smile

the drive out to Apache lake is always nice; Canyon lake than past/over Roosevelt dam. THAT is a paved road and there's always dirt trails to the side but, I'd highly recommend the buddy system. The whole Superstition mtns. wilderness area is right there too

Awesome.. my wife and I are kicking around the idea of hitting either Superstition or Martinez Cabin this weekend, since we lack funding to make it all the way to Flagstaff. Anyone else going to be around this weekend that wants to help me break 'er in?
