Kinda mixed feelings on lettin' it go, but it was time... [Too much XOC] 5 years and two weeks, 106,000+
miles, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, one wedding, one kid, etc. laugh

Hope I can still join you guys on some of the more tame runs once in a while...since
the approach and departure angles aren't so hot as it sits now. (on solid axles!) I even got
to keep my plates. [ThumbsUp]

That's right! Clean it up, Mr Truck Guy!!

Ask Mosi about his, it's extremely well built (of course ARB built).

I've always wanted one of these and finally found enough excuses to do it. [Smoking]

Yeah, Mosi's was/is pretty sweet. I have to keep it street worthy though, but I'm sure a few "things" here and here won't hurt, right? laugh

Well, not even 24 hrs and I had my first "issue" with the vehicle.

Long story short - when I picked up the Disco, I kept my plates, they called the DMV and moved my "GO4X4LO" plate to the back of the Rover because their printer wouldn't print the temp tag for it... Just before I go, they get the printer to work and throw it in my my front seat. Okay, whatever...my plates are "transferred" to the Rover, right...? confused

Not according to Officer Thomas or whoever it was that pulled me over after the Diamondbacks game...thank goodness I only had one beer too...not that I would have driven if I'd had more.

Anyway, says he pulled me over for a non-functional tail light...okay, no big deal right? License and registration...uh oh...those don't match...and I can't find my current insurance card from yesterday from the Xterra...oops. He comes back after like a year in his car with a big fat ticket for "no proof of insurance" and then explains that technically he can cuff me and take me to jail since my plates are NOT yet registered to the new vehicle...but he said he didn't feel like doing that and understood I was just "uninformed" rather than "intentionally using a plate from another vehicle." Then just before handing me the ticket for lack of proof of insurance, I find the card in my wallet. He says, "well, you won't be needing this ticket then. Go get this all taken care of and drive safely." WHEW!

Sorry...long story, even longer.

Went to Safeway and found the bulbs I need, then put the temp tag on. I'm legal now. laugh

I still love my new ride. smile
