So I just finished my purchase of aetherX tires and now need Wheels. I got an off the street quote from Discount Tires for Black Steel Type 42 Wheels @ $440 mounted. Is there a better way to have my cake and eat it too?

This gas thing is killing me @ 200 miles a tank full (used to be around 300). I would love to have my AT's in the garage ready to mount for my 4wheeling adventures and have the stock wheels on the remainder of the time so I don't have to break the bank to drive my truck.

Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated!

I would say check out some of the mom and pop shops for a used set of wheels. Sometimes you can get an awsome deal.

Tomas - I just got 4 black rockcrawler wheels from Discount tire for my Scout (the husband of my coworker works there) for about $250 mounted and balanced. They only took 5 days to arrive.

Check your backspacing unless you're lifted..
If you're all good with that, I have 6 rock crawler rims (red stripe). Make me an offer.

3 of them have interco truxus tires on that can be used, shredded, thrown away.. whatever.

I have never been able to make them work on my X but then that may have been more of a tire problem the interco's are true 31's and apparently I wasn't lifted/trimed enough.

I've got two sets of 16" wheels for sale. One set's the '01 SE 4 spoke, the others are the NISMO bronze wheels. Not sure what you rintention is either, but I've also got 4 Michelin LTX/HT(?) (great street tires) and a spare in same size. Please buy it all, thanks.
