I was thinking about heading up to Table Mesa on sunday to play around for a few hours. Does this sound good to anyone else?

Gonna be watching the playoffs so that will be getting home a little to late for me. Sorry.

I think that I might have to change it to next sunday anyway. The wife made plans to go do some other things. And next weekend there is no playoff games. Would like to do it on saturday but I work almost every one.

I guess I should've specified which day. I'm shooting for the 29th and to be up there around 9 or 10.

Rain or shine hell or high water? Well, besides the shine, where are the others found in AZ?

Well is there anyone itching to go play around this weekend yet. It doesn't have to be Table Mesa it can be anywhere really. I'm trying to avoid going solo.

Unfortunately for me, it's an itch I can't scratch this time around. I'd love to play otherwise. frown

Hey guys sorry to be so last minute but, the boy and I will be there! I will be there around 9:30 at the flat spot where people usually air down or park their trailors. I will have my CB on and the FRS will be on 14.0. Give me a call if you want to in the am around 8:30 if you have any change of plans. 602-694-2047.

I didn't see any responses from anyone that could make it, and my brother in law lives out in east Mesa and wanted to go with me. So I just took a strole out to Box Canyon. It was a good trip, but I definately need to invest in some skid plates. I put a small ding in my stock front plate, but nothing serious. Sorry I missed your post Travis or I would've gone out that way.

I got across the river and as I started out on to shore, the ground gave way. It was like talcum powder dirt, and the big tires were just diggin' right in. So I backed off (into the water, hood high) and tried to crawl out sideways on the left of the ruts, nada. By now, water was coming in the back hatch. The spare tire was mostly submerged. (It was a pretty steep embankment) The dog was trying to climb up front with me instead of enjoying the water [LOL] .. So I dropped back down in to the now very muddy water, and straightened out. I goosed it out of the water and onto shore. With a big cloud of dirt and dust, I came to rest on the bank. I radio'd for Preston, and within a minute he was getting to try out his new winch. Little did he know, I set a precedent for the day and he'd be using his winch two more times in the next 10 minutes. The 2nd recovery took over an hour and took two winches and an anchor truck, [drink] , good times..
YelloGeeko had some engine concerns, but other than that, we couldn't have asked for a better day on Table Mesa.
BTW, the "big hill" looks mad now. We stopped and looked at it at one point, but for some reason never got close enough to start up it [Uh Oh !] .. I'm looking for a reason to go back out there [Smoking]

Sounds like a great time was had by all. I wish they hadn't screwed up my schedule this month. I might be able to do something then. I am jealous. BTW...the mental image of your dog trying to crawl up front had me laughing.

Dan, you should have started your story:

"The sea was angry that day my friends- like and old man trying to send back soup at a deli..."
