After I put my skids back on yesterday, I cruised over to Apollo Communications (43rd Ave and Northern) and bought a PA Speaker for my CB. Its nothing fancy (only $20), but works well. Install was approximately 10 minutes.





To install, I had to remove the top of the airbox. Once removed, I drilled two 1/8" pilot holes for the mount. The screws are #10 x 3/4" pan head sheet metal screws. Once mounted, I routed the wire along the drivers fender and then toward the drivers side firewall. There is an access hole that has a rubber grommet. Move the rubber, and route the wire inside the cab. Once the wire is inside the cab, plug into the back of the CB.

Way cool. I have a PA speaker sitting around the house somewhere, just hasn't been on my list of things to get done.

Always fun to have the abilty to squawk at people on the trail...or in traffic.

Just be careful with the traffic - the cops can bust you for using it.

im more interested in apollo communications. random electronic stuff there?

Just a couple miles away from me. Mostly the whole CB, scanner, Ham scene. Just a couple guys listening to scanners all day and taking care of customers. Good people.

im wondering if they do cb work? such as talk back, roger beep, tweaking, and the like.. also im betting they have a good selecting on cb's/hams, deff gonna have to check them out..

I bought my CB and antenna there (EDIT: and had it installed by them), and I believe Randy got his tuned there. They are really good, and have been in business for a long time.
