Now that Adam is an official member again, I nominate him for Pres, VP, and Treasurer.

I think I will respectfully decline to be an officer this time around. It's hard to make all the meetings and xcursions, not to mention setting them up takes considerable time. As well as keeping our Webpage up to date.

In short, I'd like to sit back and just be a Member for this next year and get myself back into the groove. I will continue to perform the Web duties if the Club wishes.

I nominate Ted for VP and Treasurer. I obviously need some competition and with business trips this year, I will probably be out for 10-14 weekends in total. I am down with performing any duties as a club Ocifer if I get voted in, but just wanted to put that information out there.

Well, I probably can't second myself, but I'd be willing to put my name in for Treasurer.

I would second Ted for the Treas/Secr. But I don't know how you all feel of me just stepping back in without a Vote and all. Technically I'm still paid up till March (when I'll be rejoining).

So when are we going offroading and having a mod day.

Article X - Election of Officers

1. The membership shall meet and elect officers and directors for each fiscal year at the regular February meeting. The newly elected officers shall take office on March 1st. Voting shall be in person. In the event a member is unable to attend the voting meeting, an absentee ballot may be cast by mail with prior approval from the Board of Directors.
2. Balloting for each office shall be in separate successive sequence and will be held by secret ballot. All ballots for offices must be counted and checked by three members other than the nominees.
a. Except for the first meeting and/or election of officers may be done by verbal vote of acceptance if there is only one nominee in an office.
3. Election to an office or position on the Board of Directors will take place by Plurality vote.
4. In the event of a vacancy in the office of Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer, an election shall be called to elect a successor. In the event of a vacancy on the Board of Directors, the Board of Directors shall elect a successor.

It's not about you being a good President.. As a past president of the AZXC, I was merely thinking one who was not yet voted in as a member, could not be also voted as President simltaneously. The by-laws you've posted don't answer that question..
