Starts out interesting (with the wheeling) and then cuts to some idiot doing shots like highschool kid in Mexico for the first time. Does he still live parents and wants his friends to think he is cool by getting shit-faced? I like drinking as much as the next guy, but that's embarrassing behavior for adults.

Stick to Xterras in the dirt and skip the hammerheads doing shots when you post a video.

Funny you should say that .. because one of the first "hammerheads" from the first GOX came from Canada.. Craisy Daisy. He even invented a few drinks while he was there.. Anyone remember the Chilly Willie?

For those people that have attended GOX the night at the Outlaw is true quality entertainment.

For those not into that sort of thing there is plenty of Xterra's on the trails.

Besides.. GOX is not all about taking your Xterra out on the trails and seeing some of the most beautiful country in the US. It is also about meeting people and getting out of your truck.

Didn't mean to sound like a party pooper. No doubt its a social event. Meeting new people is the main purpose of just about any hobby. I just thought videos of people doing shots are "uninteresting". Besides, I'm in my thirtys and 5 shots of liquor now means 36 hours worth of hangover. I don't get out much any more.

Wheeling while hung over must be painful and probably dangerous (mainly to your truck).

Wheeling drunk is dangerous. Wheeling hungover is not, just perhaps not as fun.

5 shots gets you a shingle and magic markers. GOX now has the largest collection of shingles in the Outlaw, and it should grow quite a lot this year.

10 is the limit, Chris (the owner) will not allow people to do 15 for liability reasons.

What a killer tradition, been to alot of bars in my day and the shingle is a first. Nice thing is the 4J campground is stumbling distance from the Outlaw...that could come in handy.

Last thing I wanted to do was get banned from Xterra events. I do understand GOX and I shouldn't have been knocking what you consider a good time. Sorry if I offended anyone. GOX sounds like a very well organized and attended event. I just figure that you post videos and pictures to invite praise and ridicule so I was just playing along. Please post more videos (mainly of X's in the dirt) for those who lack the leisure time and disposable income to go wheeling for a week at a time.

There is about 35 minutes of Xterra's in the dirt/rocks.. but you will have to get the video to see them

Do you honestly think that I want people to think I'm cool? You clearly don't know me at all. Hanging out with a bunch of friends on vacation doing some cool wheeling puts you in a different place. This is how I chose to have fun that night. I don't even drink that much. However, I happen to be in my early thirties and I had no trouble doing 10 shots and two Chilly Willie's and getting up in the morning. I drank tons of water after that night and I don't get hangovers... never have. That's probably the only "cool" thing about me. Furthermore, even though I felt fine, better judgment dictated that I should stay off the hard runs the next day and stick to trail rides.

Do I look a little lame when you take that video clip out of context? Yep. Do I care? No. Will I always remember having a lot of fun at GOX II... you bet your ass!

And, when I'm an "adult" like you, I can always go back to the Outlaw, look at those shingles on the wall and hope they can serve as a reminder to not go criticizing people I don't know for things I wasn't even there to see.

Your right, I should not have been critizing and I think I said sorry in an earlier post. My idea of fun is different than yours and I should not judge you for it. I'm probably just jealous because I can't party without pain any more.

Hmm, I forgot about my day off from wheelin' that week... and for a moment there I thought you might be right. But I'm certain that I went wheeling the next day so the mine tour must have been the day of.

I believe that Joe came over and we had a few pitchers of "tequila-less margaritas" the night before the Outlaw, so I decided to take that day off knowing that I had already said that I was going to get two shingles for the club that night.

But then, what does a Ten-Shot-Drinkin', Vodka-Snortin', should-be-passed-out-by-now punk like me know?!
